Enjoying one of our other favorite hobbies - camping out. This is our home away from home.
This is a site at a State Park about an hour away from home. We enjoy loading up and getting away for a night or two.

Just a little time before these pictures were taken, I saw a mountain lion following the creek just inside this tree line. I reported it to the Park Ranger who said that he's had other sitings. This park is adjacent to 18,000 acres of private land which is not hunted. He said that the mountain lion has a great habitat with ample prey. He also said that their range is anywhere from 50 to 100 miles distant.

I was glad that our lab was occupied with one paw on my lap being petted so that he didn't notice the mountain lion.

Other visitiors include many deer, racoons armadillos and, yes, snakes. Posted by Picasa

Another Band Photo

I think this was one of our better shows. We kept the party going playing songs ranging from Boot Scootin Boogie (of course), Play Something Country (for Faye), Redneck Woman, Mud on the Tires and Alcohol to Breakdown to Play That Funky Music.

Not shown individually in this set are Tim (keys) and Mark (bass) without whose expertise in sound and electronics we couldn't do what we do. Also not shown is Carrie (drums) whose steady beat keeps us together on stage. Posted by Picasa

Band Photo

Camille singing with Lee's backing. The band was postioned behind the live auction items for the first set. Posted by Picasa
Lee (Legit) singing lead and is flanked on the left by Greg and Andy on the right. Greg, although playing guitar here added some amazing fiddle work. Andy added his wonderful lead playing. I can't believe that he kept up with Andy on the Cotten Eyed Joe. Andy, I know for a fact that you've never played that song before. Posted by Picasa

A little rhythm

The Face in the Dirt Band played the ARC's Boot Scootin' Boogie a dinner, auction and dance at Elks Lodge on February 4th 2006. It was a packed house of 550+ for this benefit. Thanks Michelle, Marleen and the ARC the band had a lot of fun. I hope you did as well. Posted by Picasa
